In 1996, Lotus Cars released the Elise and Titan held the production contract to supply the Steering Rack for both Series 1 and Series 2 models. With GM being a development partner for the Series 2, the same Steering Rack was used in the Opel Speedster/Vauxhall VX220. To this date, Titan continues to manufacture this Steering Rack in the standard 2.75 ratio and also a quicker 2.5 ratio.
